Minister of Integration, Majlinda Bregu met today with the Czech First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Tomáš Pojar to discuss on Albania’s further steps in the European integration and the reforms dictated by the process.
The Czech Deputy Minister underlined that Czech Republic holding the EU presidency not only welcomes Albania’s application for candidate country status, but is ready to offer its full support in the implementation of obligations rising from this new benchmark.
According to Mr.Pojar, the application does not depend and has nothing to do with the applications of other regional countries, but depends simply on the creation of favourable conditions for the revision of the application request as soon as possible by the Council.
Minister Bregu thanked Mr. Pojar for the support of the Czech Presidency to Albania’s integration progress in general, and the encouragement to apply under the Czech presidency.
